Back in 2010-2011, I created what would be my last projects as a rapper under the name DC King of Hearts. They were titled Pain, Pleasure, and The Space Between. Each touching on themes of their respective titles, I wrote, produced, and performed them in the quiet town of Athens, OH (Haha) at a strange time in my life as I was finishing my bachelor's degree, but trying to decide where to do what my life.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that it was an easy process. For the longest time, I struggled to make ends meet, relying on my dad for assistance with my rent and car, sharing food stamps with my roommates, and pretty much be stuck in human limbo on where my life was going to go from there.

I will say that the three albums gave me something that I had been striving to accomplish for most of my life: a chance to really push my creative limits. And I'll be forever grateful fo the minds, the writers, the soundscape artists, and the listeners for giving me a chance to do so.

So with that said, this album is me showcasing my favorite tracks from each album, remixing some that I deemed worthy, and throwing on some extras just because. After this, I'm officially putting an end to anything related to DC King of Hearts. It was a fun time in my life, but for the sake of me, what that name meant to me, and what it stood for, I can no longer associate my future with it anymore.
